withdrawal method???

by cactus4l, Oct 28, 2006 12:00AM
I am curious to know how may of you ended up pregnant while using the withdrawal method. I have been reading more and more that it is not that effective even if your partner pulls out before he ejaculates.

i posted in the maternal forum as well and just as you said, this is not the way to go, i was curious because i just began using ovcon35,  nearly 2 weeks now, and i have been sick as a dog, vomiting, cramping, and having, body pain and headaches sing i stated, i have nad bad sideeffects form other BC as well. I guess i just need to wstock up on the condoms, and get my DH to use them, I would not be upset if i were to get pregnant, but i have not had it easy healthwise lately (1 confirmed  m/c, irregular cycles, hemorraghic cyst, laporoscopy...)and my body could use the break, besides, i am tired of being dissappointed every time AF pays a visit. anyhow, thx, Smile

I got pregnant twice using this method. It doesn't work. I would advise finding another form of birth controll. A man will have a "pre ***" before he even knows it. So, I have heard. All I know is pulling out is for the birds. Sorry.

Both of my sisters and myself are products of the "pull and pray" method (aka "pull out"). However, my best friend and her husband used this method effectively for seven years. I believe that the effectiveness varies based upon the man and woman involved. All men (to my knowledge) pre-ejaculate during intercourse, and this pre-*** can impregnate a woman ... just ask my mom! ;0)
Good luck!

It is the only method DH and I use and I have NOT gotten pregnant yet (key word yet) He did NOT pull out 3 times and each time I did get pg - I have 2 kids and had one miscarriage.  I guess we'll use it until it no longer works for us :o)

my bf and i at the time (married now) used the pull out method for about 7 yrs. never pregant. went to mexico, used rythym method...did NOT work. got pregnant. we have since gone back to withdrawl but do not think for one minute the chances of getting pregnant are not in the back of my mind!

If you are hoping to fall pregnant why are you thinking of continuing with birth control? Of course the decision's up to you, but I would personally let nature takes its course. Unless you're not trying to fall pregnant right now but soon? Sorry - I'm just a little confused to what you're hoping to /not to achieve!
