yeast infection or something more?

I developed a yeast infection from an antibiotic I was taking. I didn't realize what it was at first then had to wait until the weened was over to see a doctor which was on the 5th day of symptoms. Then day I went to the doctor I developed blisters all over my genital area (I'm a female). The are extremely painful and some of them have burst and are open sores. The clinic I went to diagnosed me with a yeast infection but also said I have herpes. They did no testing just examined me. I've read several places that yeast infections can cause blisters if not treated right away. I've also never had a yeast infection before and I had my period during the time that the symptoms developed, I'm not sure if that would contribute to anything or not. Should I be more concerned about having herpes or does it sound like a severe yeast infection?

I will agree with Brokenprincess.  Blisters are usually NOT associated with yeast infections.

Get that full STD panel as soon as possible.

May I ask what you were taking the antibiotic for?

Blisters are not common with yeast infections. I get yeast infections often. The concern here is that the blisters were "extremely painful" and no testing was done. please switch doctors and get a full STD panel . Good luck
