yeast infection?

HI I was wondering if anyone could help me...Im 20 years old and have a burning sensation on my vagina which i have never had before.  I was reading online for the symptoms of a yeast infection, but i do not have any of the other symptoms (like the itching or the discharge).  Sometimes it doesn't feel that bad but other times its uncomfortable.  Could this be a yeast infection? I was thinking of getting monistat 7 to see if that does the trick but also, i am getting my period soon, so can i use the med while im on my period? If anyone can help me out that would be great. thanks!

I would try the monistat. You can use it while having your period. It tells you right in the directions. Also if you have not been diagnosed with this before and not sure mabey it could be something different.I am not a doc ,but I don't think trying the monistat 7 would do any harm. Good luck

Don't try to diagnose this yourself. Before you start fooling around with remedies. If the symptoms are totally  new for you, go see a doc.  If you have no insurance, the folks at Planned Parenthood are really helpful and have a sliding fee scale.

Don't wait.

Use the  Monistat , the one whith a 3 dose.  if does not go away or if you notice a water discharge, see your doc.  If ALL symptoms are not gone, see your doc.  It is probably a good time for a pap anyhow :)
BV, or bacteria vaginosis is often mistaken for a yeast infection, but can only be treated by a doctor, yeast infections are way too common, and will cause redness.
