yeast infection

Okay I know that we have all been asking just about the same questions but can someone answer mine? I had a yeast infection and when I used the seven day monistat, it didn't clear it up so I went to the doctor. She took some tests to make sure I didn't have anything else and prescribed me the pill that gets rid of yeast infections that one can take instead of the over the counter product. The results came back negative and it has been about five days since I took the pill and I still have it! It is white around my vagina but there is no itching but it still looks all dehydrated and shriveled up like if I did have one. ...or is that just normal??? Fyi...I am also now taking Probiotics as recommended by my doctor.

I had that white on my vagina and I new I had a yeast infection and they gave me stuff and it did not go away, I still was swollen and red and itching so i tried all the home remedies and nothing worked I kept calling my doctor and they were like you just have dryness try Vasoline. That made it worse!!  Finally I gave up and tried monistat 3 the external cream got rid of the stuff going on the outside. Make sure you use some sort of cream for the outside. And if you still look strange down there you still have fungus.

I also take the pill for yeast infections, and I know that the pill stays in your system for 7 days, so that means that even though you see things (like the white around your vagina) it is still working.. so dont lose hope yet.  If after the 7 days you STILL have that... then I"d call your doctor..   and make sure that you do not (if you already do) have any contact with anyone sexually because that can make it worse. You need to heal down there.   Probiotics- if just recommended by your doctor to regulate your digestive system and help cure yeast infections, it most likely will have some type of affect on your body- but keep an eye on things...   hope this helps
