What's your perfume?

by redheadaussie, Jun 18, 2009 02:20AM
Hi all.  I prefer the more oriental type. I also know that my man goes wild whenever I wear J'Adore. When I switched to my usual Avon one, he was not at all attracted. Put on the J'Adore the next day and he was all over me like a rash! Amazing hey? It is not a perfume I would have normally worn. I got a small sample of it. So am now going for the ultra large bottle next duty free shopping time! Hee hee
I have a bottle of Occur by Avon which I used to wear religiously when I was younger. Men would follow me around with their tongues hanging out....I got older and it seemed to lose that effect. Now it seems J'Adore has the provided me with that power again!
What is your perfume? Have you always worn it? Do you like to experiment?

I have always liked Jovan White Musk and a scent from Bath & Body Works called Stolen Moments...MMMMMM Yummy!!  My man is a strange one, whenever I am cleaning, doing laundry, looking like he!! and all sweaty, can't get him off of me...I guess he's attracted to my natural pheromones...what an animal!!  ;)

Oh I change around from time to time depending on my mood. I like Este Lauder's White Linen. I also like their Sunflower perfume. Sometimes I wear Windsong for a spicy smelling perfume. In the Summer I often just wear body spray for a lighter scent. When it's hot out I usually like the lighter, fruity or flowery smells.

I usually wear J Lo's Glow, along with anything that has pure floral (jasmine, rose, lilly of the valley, lilac or gardenia) smells. But my absolute favourite is Tresor.

My favorite is Juicy Couture.

Older classics, like Chanel No. 5 or 19, L'Heure Bleu, and White Shoulders.  Some kind I got at the Gap once, for a lighter touch.  Essential oil of Lavender for humdrum days -- breathing the scent of lavender is supposed to be a mood-changer, I think away from resentments and toward forgiveness, or away from anxiety and toward peace.  (Can't remember; it makes me too peaceful.  LOL)

my most favorite is White Linen by Estee Lauder, which i have been wearing since i was 20 years old wow - you would think that after 32 years i would be tired of it.  I hope others arent!!

I like using the body spray from Bath&Body works, warm vanilla sugar. :) I've noticed a lot of guys love that smell. lol.

Interesting that some women stick to the tried and true and others change with seasons or mood. I guess we are all individuals!

by BabyHardiman, Jul 28, 2009 08:32AM
I like Ralph Lauren Blue for women - talk about a fresh clean smell.  You should try it!

by BabyHardiman, Jul 28, 2009 08:34AM
I agree with the warm vanilla sugar too, if you spray it lightly in your hair it gives off the prettiest smell.

My very favorite is "White Shoulders", it has the most wonderful, delicate smell, it is an older perfume, been out a long time, but, it is the best.

My other favorite is "Halston", it is a little strong, but, on certain occasions, I like it.

Bill Blass is another one I like, and I love Musk. Lately, I have not been wearing any though, I noticed that when I do, I get a slight tummy ache, gee, I hope I am not developing an allergy.

Yves Saint Laurent Opium.
And, not the EDT or EDP dilutions... Parfum, the straight stuff.
An ex-boyfriend once bought it for me; or more likely,  he bought it for himself because he said that the scent "turned him on." Anyway, I've used it ever since. It's not cheap though, around $100 for 1/4 of an oz. But, it's well worth it... and I always get compliments for it... especially from men.
