bleeding

So we found out we are 6 weeks pregnant and I have been bleeding for a week. We went to the er and said the baby is fine and its caused by a uti. But its vaginal bleeding and I'm not sure if I believe them. And my ob appointment isn't til Monday. My question is... Can a utility cause vaginal bleeding and cramping?
