Yes, it's only now that I realise what junk we put into our bodies! At least now I turn over packets much more and have completely stopped buying certain food items, which will be beneficial to my family! And btw, you came across fine :)
I didn't mean to come off as bitchy lol I honestly find it insanely interesting what different people consume and absorb into their bodies (and not just food! beauty products etc.) and the affects that they can have daily from it... usually without even realizing it
Yes, you are right potatoes are nightshades. I have it in very low quantities as it does not cause problems. But I've excluded all others. You missed my point. I appreciate that the diet you had was ideal, but before GM. I didn't say a normal or healthy diet or any dietary compnent may 'cause' GM. Any agent can trigger GM, whether food or a blocked duct. I said, IF you have GM, what increases your inflammation changes. Eg when healthy and i had blackberries, tomatoes etc, it was good for me ( high vit c). But my inflammation increased with these once I developed GM.
My diet is 1 lit whole milk cooked with tapioca( and little salt nd sugar), rice or any carbs without chemicals, two eggs per day ( egg is safe for cholesterol levels), pure organic butter (1 tsp), 1/2 tsp of rapeseed oil for whole day cooking, lots of certain veg only (only cooked gourds, raw papaya, courgettes, cucumber- no other veg), only apples, pears, and small river fish ( optional) and 5 lit of water. Thats is. nothing else. No meat, no eating out, etc. So this is very different to most 'healthy' diets...which is my point...
At the end of the day everyone is doing what they judge best. I just put up my diet regime ( inluding homeo) because its definitely working for me and I encourage people to try it. Not to crticise or compare ith other regimes. Good luck!
I don't eat many if at any nightshades... and mine wasn't a so called purposeful diet, it was just what I chose to eat, and had nothing to do with GM or because I necessarily wanted to join a fad and eat something for health reasons lol I just grew up that way and being an athlete knew what pesticides etc do to ones performance.
And I'm confused, I did re-read it, and you say you don't eat nightshades, yet have potatoes, which are a nightshade...
It's an obvious, take out inflammatory foods, inflammation decreases. I'm just simply stating that it doesn't negate GM even with other measures, it might reduce a side affect... Considering at this point, my GM is under control (and not from a diet change etc) what works for some, might not with others.
And the stuff about no preservatives, etc.. I couldn't agree more, but I think that's just a common sense thing, nothing to do with aiding in relief of GM. A person can be healthy and having maintained a healthy eating lifestyle and still fall down with GM...
Btw, NO supplements or herbals should be used along with my diet. My health is excellent because the daily eggs, veg and milk are enough to cover the whole spectrum of needs.
When we are healthy, many things don't affect us. If you read carefully what my diet is, you will note that my diet is not at all the same as the one you followed.
And definitely ' raw' veg are excluded, as well as most common veg including all nightshades and fruits, and also poultry. Also coffee is not allowed. During my diet, I once picked off blackberries and ate a few. In a few hours, my inflammation formed a head.
If you read through the forum you will come across a person who found it helped most on a 'starvation' diet. Some excluded nightshades and it worked. My diet is a practical version. You can't just eat oranges because its organic and healthy in my diet. So there is a big difference with your diet. Your diet is good for unaffected people, but not for those with this condition unfortunately.
So please read carefully and follow it strictly for a few weeks. I think you will benefit. Also I mentioned that my diet will help 50% to cure it. And rest of cure for me is homeopathy. But at least inflammation and incidences should sig reduce with diet alone. Exactly my diet however.
Honestly, I've been a strict vegetarian for most of my life, up until around 3 years ago and only eat poultry - organic, free-range, etc.. I maintain a very "raw" diet otherwise and only drink water & coffee. I also take natural supplements to aid in what I'm lacking... so while the natural approach worked for you, it's not always that simple, unfortunately.
Btw, most if the food around us are full of preservatives r baked with bad oil. Don't eat ANY if possible store bought stuff. They are full of chemicals that NO ONE should eat, esp your family. Try to convert to rapeseed oil or second preference olive oil as high omega 3 and high boiling point. No drink but water. No ham, bacon, sausage or ANY processed food or ready food. I don't even eat store bread. Btw, NO MEAT!
Try to have foods as close to nature as possible, eg pure butter and whole milk. they are not associated with heart disease and actually in moderation good for you. I have lost 5 kg and look fresh and slim with this diet even though I eat masses of carbs to fill up...! I really encourage you to change your diet...I'm sure it will help reduce inflammation...( right homeo would help cure it though) ...
