Potty training is difficult. My daughter who is almost 5 was too easy. She actually did most of the work herself. Literally, she woke up one day and decided she would not wear diapers anymore and asked to use the toilet everytime. She was about 2 1/2 at the time and seriously we have had maybe 2 accidents. My son, who is now 3 1/2, is a complete different story. We have been working with him for a year now....and what I have gathered, is that if he wants to, he will...no matter the consequence or reward. We have tried: making him sit on the toilet until he has gone, giving him candy treats when he goes, training underwear, pull-ups, giving him money when he goes, letting him tell us when he has to go, setting a timer for every 1/2 hour to avoid accidents....and maybe more. From my experience, the best suggestion I could give is not to pay attention to what you read and what others say...unless you consider them ideas and not concrete facts. Every kid is different. By 3, kids have a mind of their own and if they dont want to, they will not. With that being said, my suggestion if you girl will not poop in the toilet and it has been that long....dont make a big deal of it. Give her access to the toilet at all time. Dont stress out about it. Your stress is always passed off to her. Pooping in th toilet is harder for most kids than pee. From what I have read, it is typically easier for kids to know, hold it and then go pee rather than poop. Good luck with potty training!

What I did with my son is set up one of those folding tv tables in the bathroom with crayons and a coloring book.  the same time everyday after dinner, we would go in there and he would sit on the potty while we colored together.  He wouldn't think about where he is I guess.  This is the only time I can get him to poop in the toiler.  we would sit almost an hour sometimes
