Weird footsteps
Quite a few years ago when my husband was alive, this happened. Must have been about 15 years ago now.
I had to go out, and was out all day. My husband was at home working.
When I came back home around six, he looked like he'd seen a ghost! He told me that some time late morning he had been sitting in the living-room drinking coffee, and heard heavy footsteps in the room above (which was a room I used for art work and various things)
Now he was not kidding me, and also was a level headed person. He would not have hallucinated, and wouldn't make this up.

Don't know exactly WHAT it was! but he was so freaked he was scared to go up there and take a look! When I came home I went up there....(just call me Superwoman!) And there was no 'atmosphere' in the room, and I didn't feel any presence, or feel anything at all.
Weird.

You know I have heard of this kind of thing where you hear something as opposed to seeing it,again maybe it was a spirit ...
