Please help me! I cant sleep. HPV/precancerous cells

I am 19 years old and just found out that my 2nd pap smear came back abnormal and that they detected HPV and mild pre cancerous cells. They want me to do a colposcpy(bad spelling) and I am so nervous. I cant sleep and I cant tell my mom. She is a strict christian that would kill me for even having sex! i lied to her so many times about being a virgin and I feel like I am stuck now if this become serious. I dont want to tell her but its hard to get around it. Has any one had a colposcpy and if yes, please tell me what happens after that. We dont have a lot of money and cant having test after test. If i have mild precancerous cells on my cervix, can I just let them go away on my own. Please give my your opinion. This is scary for me

thanks for the support. How long did it take for the dysplasia to go away on its own?

I have HPV but my last paps have been normal. Your doctor will give you three choices you can freeze or burn the abnormal cells off or you can wait and see if the cells go back to normal. When I had an abnormal pap I got a coloscopy done to check and see what phase/zone the cells where in. I opted for the wait and see method. My doc monitored the cells by having paps every 3 months to see if the changed back or progressed. Thank God mine reverted back to normal and all my paps after that have been normal. Its your choice which method you choose. Since you are grown you don't have to tell your mom but I will say she probably already knows your having sex. Parents are not as slow as we think they are. Your going to need her support. Do us a favor and have protected sex and get an STD check also.
Try not to stress so much it doesn't help. You can read up on HPV and STD's on the internet.
Good Luck!!!

Since I was 21 I am now 30! Most of my paps come back abnormal because my boyfriend at the time gave me a std! You really need to keep on top of it or it will get alot worse! I dont mean to scare you but if you dont keep on top of it it could spread to the outside of your body! I had a surgery to remove it even though you will have it the rest of your life but I can clear up with help!
