i have a question i live in detroit, michigan and i have just been dx with having infertility problems and my insurance dosent cover for any treatments..does anyone know of any other type of insurance i can have in oder for me to have coverage?? please help . thank you.

I also live in the Detroit area and worked in Ob/Gyn for 8 years and the only type of insurance I have ever worked with that covered any infertility procedures or treatments was the HMO's like Blue Care Network, HAP, and a couple of private insurances and then they only cover about 50% of any treatment.....It would cost just as much to purchase a private policy as it would to pay for most infertility costs, that is unless you are considering Invitro.....Then you are talking anywhere in the upwards of $10,000----per treatment.....  There just is not alot in the way of coverage when it comes to this type of medicine....Sorry for the bad news :-(
