Tinnitus

There is a continuous sound as caused by moving electric fan in my left ear. Besides, there is also a high pitch sound at the same time. I had this suddenly the first day morning. At night, I felt everything was turning and swirling, I had a vertigo and vomitted severely. I wonder if the tinnitus has caused the vertio problems. Now I cannot hear any sound in my left ear. Is there remedial action that can lessen the symptoms?

I have been a vegetarian for 9 years. Keeping the blood alkaline is very important to bring more oxygen to various organs.Exercise is a way to increase blood lflow to organs. Every cells need oxygen to carry out its normal function. Cancer cells and many bacteria cannot live in the presence of oxygen.Blood circulation is very important for big or small capillaries.Raw living food can give us enzymes, oxygen, antioxidants, phytochemicals and bioactive substances. The nutrients in cooked food have been spoiled. I know that spirulina and chlorella can be effective in treating many diseases. You can have a try. I think that naturopathy is best for us in order to avoid side effects. The human genes can recognize living food. There has been experiment to show that the number of white blood cells increase with cooked food taken but not with raw living food. The energy of our body will be drained to deal with cooked food, chemicals, additives and diseases. Sufficient enzymes are very important to keep us healthy.
Positive thinking can trigger the production of endorphin. Remember to be happy and relax all the time to help produce more happy hormones. Mind and body are connected and interrelated, they are not separated units.
Sadness and long term stress can trigger the production of bad hormones that will harm our bodily organs and this is one of the reasons that we will fall sick.

Hi,

LDN (Low dose naltrexone) is an opioid that basically raise your endorphin levels, and makes your immune system work "better".  It has helped many people back to better health, especially autoimmune dysfunction.   It helped for many of my systemic issues.

I've not been to a TCM doctor, but I would like to.  The problem is, I don't think there are any around here (that i know of atleast..I'm in Norway).    I have worked with naturpaths however.   I agree with you, I think there is stuff out there in nature that can and will help us with any illness.  After all, there really only is 1 "disease", and that is diseased cells.   Autoimmune is trick, since its your own immune system gone awry, and just taking immune boosting remedis might be the wrong way to go (since you're essentially making bad cells stronger as well).  The immune system needs to understand it is doing something wrong, and I think the right way to do this, is to let it calm down (not supress) and go back to its normal state.  This is why clearing the underlying issue (if there is one) usually will clear it up (over time, like you said...many ways to rome, but also, Rome wasn't built in one day!).  I personally have a friend who thru homeopathic and holistic approach got rid of Hashimoto disease.

I've not taken Spirulina nor chlorella, but I hear good things about it. I currently take a regime of vitamins, Quercetin, Tumeric, Mangosteen, probiotics and some amino acids and various other herbs.  I also have been on the Blood type diet for a while, now phasing a bit over to an alkaline diet.

I really don't know what has caused my chronic otitis media (which was absent for many years after puberty).  I've had a few relapses over the last years, but since changing my diet and lifestyle, it's improved.  The naturpath I worked with was convinced it was due to gastro intestinal problems.    I don't focus too much on my ear issues atm, as it's really my eyes that are getting attacked now.

I went to consult a TCM doctor. She prescribed me some chinese medicines in powder form. It seemed to have lessen the dizziness. I walked much today. I think exercise is also important to strengthen the immune system and blood circulation. Walking also trains our balance system inside the ear.  I have not tried accupuncture, but I think it can cure tinnitus if the right meridians can be stimulated by the TCM doctor. You said that you took LDN, what is LDN? Have you ever tried to see a TCM doctor? The chinese herbs are not so toxic as the western medicine and side effects are not so serious. Plants are there to guard the safety of humans since the existence of humans on earth. Many herbs can be used as medicines to cure our diseases.I had tinnitus on 26th of Aug in all of a sudden.
Ear infections can cause many problems, if these infections are not cleared. Mind is not caused by infection. The doctor cannot tell the exact causes. She said it would have been caused by Autoimmune disease. I am now trying on Ginkgo one pill a day. I am looking forward to see the result. Spirulina and chlorella are good immune builders. I also take these. Anyway, there should not be only one way to solve tinnitus. Like math, we can solve the math problems in many ways. There are also many roads that can go to Rome.

Yeah, AR is an AI disease.  It's possible that tinnitus is a result of some autoimmune dysfunction, although I haven't heard of it.  The body is complex :D

As far as Prednisone; I tried a 3 week program (not oral, eye ointment), and it did absolutely nothing but make me worse in the eyes.   I was told it may not have been long enough, but sorry, I refuse to take that stuff ever again.

I also had light dizziness for a long time (ie like looking up, then front would make be a bit unstable), and generally a light headed feeling.   This seems to be more or less gone after I started taking LDN.

My tinnitus isn't as bad as yours (from what you describe).  Some periods are worse than others, but for the most part I have phased it out of my brain.  It's mostly at night it's annoying.  It doesn't make me hear less.   I have a slight hearing loss in my left ear, due to all the middle ear infections.  My eardrum is also "balooned" and pretty much sucked into my ear.  My mastoid cells are also "clogged" due to old infections.   The ETN docs want to replace my eardrum, however I do not want to go thru this.

I'm familiar with melatonin, I've been doing some research on it since the retina has a lot of it and could be usefor for me in that sense.  I've never heard of the tinnitus connection.    Have you tried accupuncture? Some have great success with this and tinnitus.   How long have you had it, and any other problems?

I am not sure whether autoimmune disease is related to tinnitus. I have heard that autoimmune disease relates to rheumatoid arthritis, that means your own organ is attacked by your own immune cells to cause inflammation. Prednisolone is a steroid that can suppress immune system. You are right that there are many side-effects taking steroid. I tried taking the pills two times, I stopped taking them because I found my dizziness intensified and felt more uncomfortable. I was not justified to have autoimmune disease, but the doctor said there was 70% chance of recovery. I really doubt about it.
How is your tinnitus? Mine is severe, I cannot hear anything in my left ear because of tinnitus which always has high pitch sound produced from inside. Have you ever heard of melatonin? It seems to be effective in dealing with tinnitus. Hope we can keep on chatting  to solve our ear problems.

I have autoimmune disease.  I have tinnitus.  Are they related? doubt it.  They are probably from my life long otitis media (which I suppose could be AI related too).  There are a handful of AI diseases, if tinnitus is a sideffect of one, possible.  However, did they confirm you have autoimmune dysfunction? I've never heard anyone take prednisolone for tinnitus.  And like you said "supress", that's probably all that drug will do, not cure a thing.  If I was you, I would weigh the long term potentially very harmful sideeffects of supressing your immune system vs. living with tinnitus.

I saw the doctor today. I was given the prednisolone 5mg tablet . I have to take 4 tablets and two times a day. I wonder if anyone has taken such steroid to suppress tinnitus. Would tinnitus be caused by autoimmune disease? Any comment would be appreciated.
