It's 2012. Time to see if there are more informative sources regarding this condition. My eyes squirt fluid whenever I sneeze or blow my nose. The fluid sprays across my reading glasses (if I'm wearing them). Now, in stark contrast to this excessive fluid situation, both eyes seem to be experiencing "dessicated tears" (according to tests by my optometrist). And, yet, when using Bausch & Lomb "Advanced Eye Relief/Dry Eye" on a regular basis, it seems that I also have a mucus film over part of each eye. As a wild guess, my optometrist suggested Bacitracin ophthalmic ointment. After 10 days of that, no change. While the tear duct spray has been present for decades (and was present in my mother and grandmother's later years), the film on the eyes and the dessicated tears situation are new.
Please adivse, if you're qualified. ;-)
Thank you for your comment. Is there anything i should be doing to maximize recovery?
There is a small valve that is not working. This will probably get better with time.
