have had almost every heart test

it's almost a year since my problem started,i was first told in the er that i had gerd, but every time i went with the chest pain they checked my heart.everything has always come up normal.my doctor had me do a stress test that was normal, then i had a ph/thylion stress test,(nucular stress test) and everything was normal.have had so many ekg that i can hook myself up,and so much blood taken that the blood bank offered me a job,and everytime everything came up normal.bnut the chest pain, dizziness, upset stomach,or reflux, and sometimes shortness of breath.when everything starts up,i get this pain in my leftarm and sometimes can feel it in my jaw and teeth, have went to er when this was happening and everything came back normal.they seem to think that i'm having stomach spasims and reflux mixed, but it doesn't feel that way.about 4 weekis ago i went to the er and told them that something was wrong, but when they ran thier test this time, they came back saying i had a clot in lung.while in the heart hospital and on protable heart monitor,i had heart palpatation, they said that happened because of low potassuim or magnessuim.but since then, still have been having same symptoms with them telling me that all the test are normal.could they and thier test be wrong,or is it what they said.i've also heard that a pinched nerve can cause the same problems with reflux and the other problems i'm having.is this possible?please help, the pain has started to effect my nerves in my neck and back, and my working.

Oh, forgot to mention BP is normal most of the time.  It is usually highest when i go to Dr. appts.  But usually averages around 130/80 or so.

Hi, I am having very similar issues for over 6 months now.  Multiple ER trips, Many Many heart tests, EKG's, Echo, Stress test, CTA, Endoscopy, blood tests for about everything, MRI of neck, Calcium Screening (scored 0).  The only findings out of all of this is Esophogitis, Multiple Bulging disks in neck, Lesion in cervical spine at C-5 level.

ALL heart tests were normal.  My pains ONLY come when i am sitting or inactive.  When i am doing strenous work i feel great.  Sitting doing nothing i feel like ****.

It has also been blamed on anxiety.

First of all, do you get those symptoms when exerting yourself, or when you are relaxed in a chair, or both? The heart requires more fuel when working harder and if that fuel is not available, then you will experience those symptoms. If the symptoms occur during exertion, even walking, then it sounds suspiciously like stable angina.
If the symptoms occur at rest, and sometimes exertion, then it could be unstable angina.
If for example you suffer from artery spasms, and this never presents itself during the tests, then they will be non the wiser. Even having an angiogram may not reveal this
problem because they would need to see a spasm on the monitor to diagnose it.

5 years ago, I went to the ER with chest pain.  It was intense and my blood pressure was 210/135.  They gave a  a nito patch and did blood work, EKG and everything was normal.  They did a heart cath and treadmill.  Everything was OK.  They said I had acid reflux.  I had been taking meds for that for 8 years.  4 years later, I had an intense chest pain.  I went to my doctor...did an EKG and blood work.  He refered me to a cardiologist.  The cardiologist did an EKG and reviewed the blood work.  He said I had nothing cardiac going on.  2 days later I had what they call the widow maker heart attack.  Long story short...I have 4 to 5 years left..depending on how my organs hold up.  My point is this...many medical conditions are very hard to figure out and your doctor's should not get their exercise jumping to conclusions.  What ever you do, get second opinions.   You know your body better than anyone else.  Do you have high blood pressure?

Hi Stevan.I feel that I'm somewhat qualified to answer your question since I'm suffering from exactly or very similar symptoms as you.I find it also more than coincidence that we both suffer from GERD or acid reflex and that we have had all possible tests except the cath, which I might add no doctor will give you(unless he is nuts)based on your recent negative history.(heart cath's carry a small risk of heart attack, stroke or death)also you failed to mention having a CT 64 slice Angiography.Indeed if you do have stomach problems the VAGUS NERVE indeed could be stimulating your heart.(this could cause palpertations).
So basically get a work up for GERD and get on some proton pump medicine. Nexium or lanzoprazole, get a scope down your throat for a look too.(endoscope).in the meantime cut out all soda(all kinds!),tea, coffee that's not caffeine free also chocolate, cookies, sweets and all bread cakes etc.do not also eat less than three hours before going to sleep.(and use some pillows to prop up your head higher than your tummy. Also in the meantime take some anti stress tablets(I use quiet life)and I also take a anti- histamine(piriton)which helps me personally)take separately not together!.(but that's up to you, just wanted to tell you what worked for me.you may also want to take a small dose aspirin(75mg)in view of your lung clot.hope this helps, cheers, john.
