Heart attack

My brother, age 68, just had a heart attack. His daughter said it was due to a blocked aorta. Is this possible?

Yes, it's possible and very common.  The aorta is the main artery in your body, and the largest.  It can clog just about anywhere, and if it blocks the bloodflow to the heart,,,you suffer a heart attack.

From my meager understanding of anatomy, the aorta is rather huge. Most times an MI is from a blocked artery. And technically, I guess the aorta is an artery. Sounds similar, maybe she got the term wrong. In any case, how is he doing now?
