bumpy itchy rash

kom
I really need help, I m currently experiencing very itchy skin.  It looks like a chicken box without any pus or blood and it is all over my body. My GP treated me with Elecon cream and Claratyne, after 2 weeks Dr treated for scabies .  Now over one month I still have even more spot popping out.  Another Dr  treating me with antibiothics.(Ruilaid)- still taking –
To get an appointment with a dermatologist would take months. How can I get help? My back and chest looks really bad.  It is extremely itchy and I get annoyed with my two little daughters. Pls help!

Thanks Dr Kaur

I went to a dermatologist and was diagnosed with “Pityriasis Rosea”. I was given steroid tables (Panafcort) for just couple of days, antibiotic ( Erythromycin ) , Diprosone cream, and antihistamine . I felt much better just 2 day after these medications. Especially my itchiness had reduced dramatically . I feel much better now. My dermatologist also mentioned that some sunlight is good for this condition.

Hope this will help someone in need. Thanks Dr Kaur for your prompt reply,  much appreciated .

Regards

Komathy

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Itchy bumps all over the body are due to viral infections like chicken pox or shingles, insect bites, medication causing drug allergy or an allergic reaction. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl  for itching and consult a doctor for confirmation of diagnosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
