Gallium Scan - What to Expect?

I'm having a Gallium Scan performed next week to see if the Lyme has affected my heart, and according to my Cardiologists office, it's a stress test as well.

How does that work?

I know I have to go in 3 days in a row for the test, but that's really all I know about it.

I am allergic to Iodine Dye, but they assured me that they don't use that. Any kind of dye going into me scares me because I never know how I'll react to it.

Any info on the Gallium Scan and Stress Test is appreciated!

I've had a thallium scan and that involves a stress test along w/ the scans to check ischemia (lack of oxygen to the heart), but not sure about the gallium scan and the requirement for a stress test.  Sorry for the two replies, but the closeness in terminology and your description of the stress test w/ it made me want to check and make sure you had the right term.  Again, best of luck!
