Diagnosed with H.E. need help with treatment

I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's Encephalopathy the beginning of this yr. I received prednisone treatment for 8 weeks. I was in remission for 4 wonderful short months. It's back.
My question is do I go to a base line dose of 5mg of prednisone or start the whole treatment from the top again?
I have 3 Dr's who are at a loss to treat me. I'm going to Mayo Clinic in Dec to a Neurologist there. The thing is my symptoms are coming on again fast and I'm getting worried. I'm going for a new EEG to check for the development of seizures. I have been blanking out time again.
