Numbness and pain in groin/genital/butt area on left side with severe back pain

by chazy, Oct 06, 2006 12:00AM
I have developed over the last 4 days back pain, with numbness and pain in my left genital/groin area. I have also got numbness in my laft butt cheek and it feels like someone is holding a blow toech to the back of my left thigh. I have had some loss of sensation before asociated with lumbar disc problems but this is new to me. Could this be my discs again?

thank you

It sounds like you might have a compressed/pinched nerve.

nerve or blood cirulation -get tested and do not stay in one postion no more than 30 mins at an time. get medical testing. Iam in the process of this . And if pinched nerve due to disc or etc, over in time you may loose feeling in located area

I have some of the same symptoms. I checked on the internet and talked with a friend of mine, we are both nurses. Look up Cauda Equina syndrome and see if you have any other symtoms. This is medically urgent for MD to investigate. MRI or CT, or  myelogram
