You should be aware that Interferon can trigger Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in patients who already have Fibromyalgia. I got no help from the Interferon, and then developed CFIDS. My liver doc confirmed the link between Interferon and CFIDS - but no one told me what I was risking when I agreed to a largely precautionary round of Interferon. I slept 18-20 hours/day for 2 years while a single parent. I would never have taken the Interferon had I known the risks.
good day to all...
i have hepa-b for long time almost 20 years carrier.
the secret for this healthy body and protect your liver stop drinking alcohol anymore. that the best secret to protect your body and more longlife leaving.
Thanks for the breakdown and forgive any sensitive "literalness" on my part. The confluence of young twins, unemployment, cirrhosis, and therapy failure can do this. d
correction, if you are successful with the current treatment meds interferon & ribavirin then you are cured. right now genotype 1's & 4's have around a 50% chance of cure and 2 & 3's around 80%.
with the new drugs coming out in about a year the precentages for 1 & 4's will increase to around 80 %
Relative to the cure for Hep C claim; I feel it is at best hyperbolic to call interferon and ribavirin a "cure" when it's statistical success is relative to assorted variables, e.g., genotype, sex, severity/duration, race.......As a person who failed solo interferon and later interferon/ribo treatments and now has cirrhosis it has not been a "cure". d
my friend went undetectable for hep b from interferon many years ago. I don't know what the current treatment is though. Good luck!
i didn't know that is why i said "cure hepatitis C". anyway you posted in the wrong forum.
ACTUALLY I HAVE HBV I.M TRYING TO ASK IF THERE IS MEDICINE THAT CAN CURE HEPATITIS B.....
there are no doctors here.
there is medicine that can cure hepatitis C. it is a combo called interferon & ribavirin. in about a year there will be new drugs that when added to the present drugs offer even a better cure for hepatitis c.
