Straightened Lumbar Lordosis

by FloridaSunshine, Dec 14, 2006 12:00AM
I am 57 non smoker woman, felt great until 5-2005 was walking mall 5 miles day. I got shoe inserts from foot doctor. 2 weeks later I started hip pain and back pain. Groin pain, spasms. etc.

I am wondering if there is anyone out there with similar findings of straightened Lumbar Lordosis. and what was treatment.  My GP acts like all this is not bad. But the last PT

looked honest and said I will do the best I can with all the problems.

My Lumbar Mri shows, Straighten Lumbar Lordosis suggesting musculoligamentous injury or sprain. Some endplate signal changes at L4-5.   There is some disc space narrowing at L4-5

t11-12- mild central disc bulge

T12-L1  mild central disc bulge

L1-2  A mild broad disc bulge contacts the thecal sac.

L3-4  A mld broad disc bulge is present , more prominent toward the left side and focal annular disc tear is seen on The left of this disc.

L4-5  A mild broad disc bulge , Disc contacts the anterior thecal sac. Bilateral formaminal narrowing occurs, worse on the right.

L5-S1  This level contains a mild broad disc bulge. Produces bilateral forminal narrowing worse on the right.

I am in lot of pain for past 18 mos.  Last 6mos I have not been able to sit for 10 mins without muscle spasms in buttock and thighs. I bend over to touch my toes and it creates bad spasms.

I have been to PT 3 diff ones,  the last one asked me how I injured myself.  I did not injury myself.

I have been unable to work since this happen and SS disability denied me so I have reconsideration appeal going.

They say it is not severe enough, I can work.
