seizures,migraines and fluid retention

by tes928, Jan 05, 2007 12:00AM
I have a rather strange set of symptoms that remain undiagnosed after numerous doctors visits and tests.  Swollen ankles and feet, swollen areas on my spine that once drained were determined to be spinal fluid, migraines, grand mal seizures, difficult bowel movements and a hard to the touch stomach.  All of these bizarre symptoms come on at once and then will go away for awhile, before they all return again.  It began with seizures over this past summer.  I foolishly went cold turkey off of zoloft and xanax in an attempt to improve my life and had my first seizure soon after.  I have had all of these other problems since.  Does anyone out there have any ideas?

You could be having Acute renal failure which presents with symptoms of: Little or no urine when you urinate, Swelling especially in your legs and feet, Not feeling like eating,Nausea and vomiting, Feeling confused, anxious and restless, or sleepy,Pain in the back just below the rib cage & this is called flank pain. Accumulation of fluid (called ascites) causes swelling of the abdomen and can occur in liver cirrhosis. As cirrhosis of the liver becomes severe, signals are sent to the kidneys to retain salt and water in the body. The excess salt and water first accumulates in the tissue beneath the skin of the ankles and legs because of the effect of gravity when standing or sitting. This accumulation of fluid is called edema or pitting edema.
