It depends on which contact lens are you looking for, some of them are available on online stores, but first try them and see if you're comfortable with contact lenses, I advice you to use http://www.acuvuearabia.com/ in order to get free sample and best quality if you decide to buy.

I use the daily disposable ones.  They are perfect for me.  I have never been able to tolerate contacts until I began using these.

They are not terribly expensive, either.

Contacts are safe if you use them as directed, that is, clean them properly, and remove them at night. I do not wear mine on Sundays. I have never had a problem and have used them for years.

That's a really good question.

Some people have a greater tolerance for them than others.

I tried the hard and the soft ones and both proved unwearable. Others have had no problem.

I would not purchase them on-line, but have an examination by an opthamologist, an M.D. specializing in the eye. Not an "optician".

Then, after many years of wearing glasses, I decided to try doing without them and using "eye exercises".

My vision improved significantly. Much more than I would ever have suspected.

I've used contact lenses for over 15 years and haven't had any problems. I think they're absolutely safe if used properly. You must clean them per instructions and if you use disposable ones, you should dispose of them when the time is up rather than continuing to use them. You can buy them online, from places like 1-800-Contacts, but you'll need a prescription.
