What are the side effects of Acutane?

Can someone please tell me what the side effects of Acutane are? I have been looking everywhere but I cant seem to find the answer. I am very curious. If this question has already been answered in another thread, I apologise. Like I said, I have been looking, but I cant find the answer. I have what I would consider bad back acne and I want to get rid of it. I have been trying things like Proactive, but the acne always comes back. And I dont always have the time to apply it every night and every morning.

first all good skin is a must whether you take prescriptions for acne or not.Good gentle cleanser in the am and pm and a beta hydroxy lotion to exfoilate in the pm.Moisterize only where you feel dry.and benzoil peroxide to put on active breakout to disinfect.

Accutane side effect run for, dry skin to thinning.hair.Depression is the main one to look for.Have you tried googleing for accutane?
Try the steady skin care for the am and pm give it at least 4-6 weeks.You will see great inprovemnt If not then may be go the accutane route Accutane is particularly good for the deep cystic type of acne.

i have a bad case of keratosis pilaris on my arms and chest and its getting embarrasing i cant even go to the beach or anthing would taking accutane help this condition?

Here are some of the more "common" side effects that you should tell your doctor about if you experience them:

bone or joint paint, difficulty in moving
burning, red, itchy eyes
scaly, red, burning lips
nose bleeds
skin infection
skin rash

Some of the more "common" side effects that you don't really need to tell your doctor about are:

back pain
crusting of skin
problems with wearing your contact lenses due to dryness of eyes
dry or itchy skin
mild headaches
sensitivity to the sun
skin peeling on palms of hands or soles of feet
upset stomach
thinning hair
unusual tiredness

I did Accutane twice..sometimes you must go through it again for it to last. I had REALLY dry lips...try to get a prescription ointment for that. Also wash your face and body with a gentle cleanser and use a good moisturizer. I used Cetaphil...you can get it anywhere such as Walgreens. It was a tough six months...you look worse before you look better...but completely worth it. My sister and I both did it.

If your going to do it, do it now before the cold weather comes at the end of 07. The dryness of course just gets worse as the humidity drops and the cold air comes down.

Please becarefull with roaccutane its agreat cure i myself developed bowel disease and had to have a colostomy bag at just 27 years old its not pleasent and the operations are big and painfull.
Roaccutane is POISON! my advice is find a combonation of treatments antibiotics that work for you they will need to be rotated every year to prevent ressitance try trimeoprim600mg a day with differin cream vey effective.
