bump on side of penis

I'm sexually inactive, but I do masturbate somewhat regularly.  I believe as a result I developed a small growth on the side of my penis.  It doesn't itch, or burn, but it started as a small red irritation that layered up, and was a small extra growth of skin but now it a bit irregular shaped.  My dermatology appointment isn't for a couple months, what can I do till then?  I don't use lotion, never have, and it's never been a problem till now.  (I'm 33)   I tested negative for every STD recently, tested myself last year, and last aug was the last time I had sex.  I'm looking forward to meeting more women, and being more sexually active, but this would be embarrassing if a girl wanted to give me oral sex.

it's really more like a flap of skin where a blister was.  it's right where my index finger rubs at the end of a stroke.  It's not discolored, white, or dark, and sometimes gets torn from skin at base and wants to rip off.  It's a flap, then when I don't do anything for a while it bonds back to the skin but not entirely.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection).

Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You  can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
