My pain is moving some times I have pain in wrist. some times shoulder sometimes knee sometimes in mucsles. Due to swelling in finger i am not able to move my fingers. 4 months back I consulted in AIMS Delhi . Doctor advised me for Anti ccp, Rhemotoid factor, Uric acid ,kidney left panel, lever left panel , calastrol, urin, protien ,calcium and osme other blood test. I have gone through these test my anti ccp was 249 and rhemotoid factor was 256 other test were ok . then doctor advised me to meet Rhematologist.
Then I went to meet Rhematogist he advised me to go for ANA ,PTH,Calcium, serium Calcium. I went hrough all these test my PTH was 113 . other things were ok then again I consulted rhematologist he prescribed me to take Sando cal with vitamin D3 500 mg daily and go for vitamin D test. I started taking medicine and went for Vitamin D test .Vitamin D level was normal .Then I consulted Rhemotologist  he advised me to continue with sandocal with vitamin D3 .
I am taking Sandocal with vitamin D3 since last 64 days but still I haivng pain in muscles and bones and swelling in fingers. Pain is very cronic before periods. Please suggest me that pain is only due to high PTH and I am taking right medication or it is due to high anti ccp and high rhemotoid factor.

This discussion is related to Fatigue, pain--low PTH, vitamin D deficiency, elevated calcium.

Have you taken Accutane sometime in your past.  Side effects are latent.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A positive anti ccp and RF almost confirms the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis. There is no known cure for rheumatoid arthritis and treatment is palliative or symptomatic relief. Steroids and aspirin are the first line of treatment.
Secondary hyperparathyroidism can be an associated problem and results from excess secretion of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in response to low blood calcium levels due to any cause. Hence get serum calcium tested and if this is normal, then get PTH repeated. However do the calcium test after stopping calcium and Vit D therapy for 2 weeks.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
