MRI Interpretation

by labratgcc, May 10, 2007 12:00AM
There is been a traumatic change in the appearanc.  Increased signal on the T1-weighted images in the basa ganglia, thalami, and in the dentate nuclei of the cerebellum suggesting pigmented or mild deposition is again appreciated and has progressed.  Foci of white matter signal abnormality most likely representing postoperative change in the posterior frontal parietal regions bilaterally are again seen.  There has been interval developement of marked abnormality at the level of the brain stem at the lower fourth ventricle as well as the right thalamus with solid and cystic components and enhancement suggesting recurrent disease.  The is deformity of the brainstem and possible frank involvement rather than compression.
