For Goodduck /Pituitary

I was curious about your symptoms.  I don't have sinus infections that have been dxed, but I do notice a lot of drainage in the back of my throat.  Feeling more stuck there than draining.  Also in the past couple of months I have noticed slight ear ringing.  Of course I am looking at everything as it relates to the pitutary tumor/cyst.  The Neurosurgeon told me that headaches from mass effect from pituitary lesions are usually frontal around the eyes.  I also get migraines (with aura sometimes).  Have been getting them for over 10 years, but an MRI I had 5 years ago showed no growth in my pituitary.  The headache that caused me to get the MRI was one that hurt on top of my head when I bent over, coughed or sneezed.  MY MRI also stated a small 3mm neurological cyst in the right suninsular area. Don't even know where that is.  None of the doctors have even commented on that finding. That also bothers me.  As far as pit symptoms I suppose because of all the nerves involved and the placement of the growth until they get into the pituitary and remove it all of the symptoms and their significance are up in the air.  Your thyroid could be underactive because of compression on the gland.  I also have an underactive thyroid gland, but have been treated for that for 15 years. It really is like putting together one big scarey jigsaw puzzle.

Does anyone know where the right suninsular area is?
Are small cysts common findings on MRIs?

Hope I got your nickname right, I'm getting the same type of headaches and was always told they were sinus headaches...I don't believe for a minute that I have migraines..I have an enlarged pituitary gland too (from mri and contrast mri) I wish you good luck, my appointment for the endocrinologist is on the 4th of June less than two weeks now, WOOHOO......That's all I know, they doctor never told me what part of the pituitary gland is effected or it's size so I'll find out on the 4th.  Keep us all posted as to how your doing and lots of well wishes from me.......
