low spinal pressure headache?

by tamealer, Jun 15, 2007 12:00AM
Ihave been diagnosed with Psuedotumor Cerebri (PTC), last Nov, a shunt was put into my brain to reroute my spinal fluild. Then, my headahes came back again. Omm=n May 1, another shunt was put into my side, the headaches were gone for about a week. Now they are back worse than ever, however, my optic nerves are not swollen. Therefore my doctors tell me that they beilieve my spinal pressure is too low, and they are weaning me off my diamox. However, my headaches do not subside when I lay down. I am in high constant pain. The pain is in the top of my head. This is NOT a migraine. Can anyone offer me any type of help?
Please, I am open to any suggestions.
Thank you for your time.
Teresa
