As others have mentioned, feeling tired after eating could indicate blood sugar imbalances which need to be examined. However it could also indicate other things like poor digestion.

Sometimes when our digestion is suboptimal, digesting food takes far more energy. For example, if we're low on digestive enzymes or stomach acid (surprisingly common), we have far fewer tools available to digest the food, and using the tools we have takes more effort. It's no wonder you feel tired. So also check out your stomach acid and digestive enzyme production. One way you can check this out is supplementing with digestive enzyme supplements and/or apple cider vinegar, and see if this helps reduce tiredness after meals.

There are quite a few things to consider if you're feeling tired after meals. I've written an article on this subject in more detail  here  which hopefully will be helpful.

yeah dim light and a warm cozy room make it more likely.

Agreed about the small meals causing fatigue not being a great sign. Although it could just indicate extremely poor digestion. it's a topic with a lot of possible causes. I wrote quite a thorough article on the topic  here - http://www.saywhydoi.com/why-do-i-feel-tiredness-after-eating/

If I eat a big meal, god yes I get sleepy! Mainly if the lighting in the room is dull too!

Yes, it;s also linked to blood sugar, and it's always good to hack a quick test since it's so easy to do! ( you should have yourself checked every couple of years to be honest )

If it's only a small piece of toast or a sandwhich I dont think getting 'extremely sleepy' is the best of signs. Pop yourself to a Dr for a better diagnoses and a quick blood test. There's lots of other reasons that aren't dangerous he/she could elaborate on.
