Pseudomonas Aeruginosa treatment

My father aged 69 under went for open biopsy in his left lung  on 5 th march 2007for the suspected mass of 2 cm where the pathology report came has a TB(early tuberculosis),after surgery he was in ICU for 4 days with the ventilator support,5th dat he was shifted to ward but within 2 days he was shifted back to ICU WITH THE VENILLATOR SUPPORT because of the stress in the heart due to high fluid intake, also with Pneumonia where the culture found Klebsilla has the infection he was treated with high antibiotic along with anti fungus for a week he was on ventillator after removing the ventillator for two days on the third day again he got exhausted and he was back on ventilator this process was repeated 4 times in and out of ventilator. during this time he has developed Pseudomonas has the infection where he was treated with meripenin has antibiotic but after 8 days the culture report came has resistant for meripenin, now they are treating with magnese and aminacin for the past 5 days the temp remains still around 100-102 degree.  
how this pseudomonas can be treated they are giving antibiotic every 12th hourly.
