Concussion related pain? or PANIC

I got a concussion about a month ago during a dance performance and, while I no longer feel like there is a veil over my world, I am now experiencing headaches that feel like sinus headaches running from the base of my skull up over the right side of my head and down into my right eye/nose. Just 30 minutes ago, I felt the back of my neck burning, smelled the aroma of rubbing alcohol intensely in my nostrils and felt like I might throw up or pass out. The burning is still there at the back of my neck and my brain feels like it's burning. I'm having a hard time determining if I'm having a panic attack or something more serious. I'm at a loss...

This discussion is related to Burning sensation in back of skull.

Thank you for responding. I do have a history of panic attacks and think it is definitely contributing to my issue. I've been in a slight state of panic for the past three days but find that when I'm busy I feel pretty good. I do have headaches that start in the occiput and refer to my eyes and face. They are not what I would call SEVERE but feel somewhat nervy and like my sinuses are dried up. I've had moments of nausea but have never thrown up post concussion. I have been to a doctor and got a CT scan which came back 'clear'. I think the fact that I am still symptomatic of post concussion syndrome and month after the accident is what is causing me to panic.

Hi, I want you to relax first, seems like you might have some anxiety or panic disorder?  You should relax and take a deep breath first.  I don't want to scare you or make you feel worried, I just want to give you some information.

First, have you thrown up?  Do you have severe headaches? Do you have any limb numbness? Change in tastes and smells?

I ask thiese questions because if you are expereince any of the first three you need to get to the emergency room.  There is a possiblity that within 30 days of a head trauma that you could still have a hemmorage. I just found this out recently because I just went to a doc to get some information and they mentioned that to me.

In addition are you having any dripping from your nose or anything?  It could be a fluid leak from your brain also with how you are decribing this. But I am not sure how long after an injury this could happen, I am also trying to find that out.

do you have a history of panic attacks?  If you really feel bad, you can go see a doctor first and at least get some peace of mind.
