rt basal ganglia region

by hockey1, Sep 16, 2005 12:00AM
recent ct scan shows a small curvilinear focus of low density in the right basalganglia region which could represent a lacunar infarct or perivascular space.  what does this mean?

Basal Ganglia is a region of a brain.

Collectively the caudate nucleus, putamen and globus pallidus form the Basal Ganglia, and are involved in movement control. These highly specialised clusters of cells/nuclei are found within the white matter, beneath the cerebral cortex.
