Partial loss of eyesight after a stroke

Hi All,
My father suffered a stroke 6 days agao, having been to the hospital we discovered thathe has lost a quarter of his eyesight (bottom half of the left eye).
Ive looked at posts on some forums which say that if its only a partial loss of eyesight in one eye, it may well be restored in around a month, does anyone have any experience of this- if so what are the possible treatments available and is it likely to be restored given that its been longer than 24 hours?

eyes, the upper left...also the majority of my vision was blurred.
I was blessed. most of my vision came back, even after months!!!
I still lack that upper left quarter, but thank God I can still see enough to drive and take care of myself..
I've been told that in most cases, what does not come back in 3 months,
you have probably lost for good..
Pray that this is not your case...Rob..
Unfortunately, there is none for eyesight.
The only thing you can do is train your eyes to "scan" an entire area.
The area that controls the eyesight in the brain is dead.
There are cases in which other areas of the brain "take over" that part of the
sight that is lost.
Sorry to continually bring this bad news, but every case if different.
We pray that in your case, all sight will be restored...
