How common are they? - I understand they are more common than one would think.
What are the chances of rupture? - Very small aneurysms can rupture although there's a greater chance as they become larger.
What makes one more likely to have one? - High blood pressure, genetic disposition are just two.
Are they genetic? - Typically, yes.
What is the best tests to detect and unruptured one? MRA seems the best test. It will show contrast of the blood vessels.
It can happen any one specially if it is in family history.
What are the chances of rupture?
depends your health. Drinking,smoke,blood pressure, family history and so on.
What makes one more likely to have one?
Stress, drama, too much thinking, blood pressure, health of the brain's vain and so on. usually will take lots of continues stress (too much thinking) for long period of time (year or two).
Are they genetic? sometimes.
What is the best tests to detect and unruptured one?
CAT scan. But watch out for headaches. It seems like always give headache even if small amount of bleeding present. If bleeding is large amount such as 1/2 ounce, it can cause blurt vision,vomiting,severe headache and so on.
Best way to prevent Brain Anuresyms is to have happy life, eat decent health food and exercise. Of course no smoking and limit drinking or no drink. Keeping blood pressure normal is also important.
