I heard an amazing fact about this that made me not want to go outside. First- my story- I recently had a miscarriage. My Dr couldn't find a cause for it and said he had 6 other women that same month that the same thing happened to (saw heartbeat and then about a week later baby died) He said "sometimes I wonder if there isn't a virus out there that causes this- we'll go 9-10 months without seeing this at all and then all of the sudden we have a cluster"

anyhow- I was watching CNN this weekend- they said 80% of people who get West Nile NEVER get symptoms. I live in TX so there is a strong possibility this is what happened to my baby.

Last year I got the West Nile virus.  I felt fine at first with a very high temp.  I think it was like 101 - 102 degrees.  Then about two days later, I felt like I had part of a flu.  Cramping muscles, headache, fatigue.  I'm only 21 years old and I got through it just like anyone with the flu.  The symptoms I had only lasted about a week.  The main signs are high temp, headache and a stiff neck.

I got WNV in 2002 when the outbreak was at it's highest with the most fataliites. I still have reprocusions from the virus. They found the virus in my CFS- it has affected my nervous system.
At the onset of the virus I developed congestive heart failure, bells palsey, eardrum perferation, fever, tremors, I walked with a cane for 6 mo. due to the paralysis of my legs.
True, I was told some will have no symptoms but those who are elderly or immune disorders are hit the worst with symptoms.
