Any way I finally got the noraplant removed in 1997 I was told it would only take a short time for me to get pregnant they said it would be 6months - 1 year.
HAS any one gone through any of this? or something of this sort? Is there a class action suit? If any one has gone through this have they had a babyBabies and heat rashes Baby feeding patterns healthy following this?
Anyway, I had the Noraplant removed (very painfully, just as you stated) about 6 years ago and I've been trying to conceive ever since. My husband and I tried for 5 years but nothing. We were divorced and I remarried two months ago and my hubby and I are trying but nothing yet (It's only been two months though)

Also there are a lot of health problems that have been contributed to the NorplantNorplant system, check the web for this information it has been awhile since I looked all this up
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Andrea
I thought I was the only one as well.
I got the Noraplant when my son was 6 weeks old (that was almost 9 years ago)
I had it removed after 3 years and went on the pill for a short time.
I didn't have any "major" problems with the Noraplant, other than the headaches, heavy periods that came when they wanted to and lasted however long they felt like (sometimes 3 or 4 weeks straight) and I also lost alot of hair every time I showered or brushed it but my hair grew back so fast that it was only noticable in the drain and the brush. I did not gain any weight though.

I was wondering this month however since for the past three weeks I have been very irriatable, sick all the time, crampy day after day (cramps sometimes even go into the tops of my legs and around to my back), gained 10 pounds in a month, flutters in the stomach, more trips to the bathroom, lots of gas and distended stomach as the day progresses, very tired (at least one nap a day), and headaches much more often than usual. I have no idea what is going on with all that but I tested negative and AF came right on time.
Hope I was of some help with the Noraplant issue and maybe someone can tell me if "STRESS" can cause all the symptoms I've been having.
Hugs,
Vikki
Personally the tubes cracked in my arm and that is why they said I was excluded, however after the Norplant removed (1994 1 yr and 3 months after insertion) I had 3 more miscarriages, and 1 successful pregnancy. I'm now, finally, on my second successful pregnancy. I also had my right ovary removed from an extremely large cyst (during this pregnancy), and the weight gain.
Bombay I would first of all file a lawsuit against the doctor who was supposed to fully remove the norplant, that is neglectful medical malpractice.
