my 23months old son doesnt speak.when I tell him to say mama or dada or some other simple world he tries and says but I fill it is difficult for him to imitat.since 30 months ago he started to scream for things that he wants and becomes angry easily.most of the times he screams.when we are shopping he is angry so we can not concentrate on our shopping .he didnt do something like that in the past.in his past medical history he has had drop head" in 9 months old and was suspected for infantile spasm" so he had recieved ACTH -sabril-vit B6-clonazepam.althogh eeg didnt show any abnormality)finally eeg monitorig was perfomed about7 monhts ago and  the new neurologist enssur us that it is not IS.we dc all of his  medication.drop head dissapear and he start walking  after that(when he was 15 monhts old).now Iam so concern about him because of delayed speach.It seems he underestand every thing we say but doesnt imitat at all.please help me as Iam a mam and a physician too.

I suspect he has been delayed partly because of the medication and medical issues.  He may need time to catch up.  I would have his hearing checked by an audiologist who works with children to see if there is an issue there.  Sounds like you have been on a hard road.
