Your pants are too tight because the uterus pushes up whatever else is there as it expands. It's not the uterus directly that you are buttoning the waistband around (until later).

I just went to get an ultrasound today and was told that my amnion was not yet attached and that I had an anterior placenta. I am 16 weeks and 2 days and I am worried that something is wrong. they told me that they would try to do my amnio next week at 17 weeks. Is this normal?
