1. warm the oil first - not in the microwave, just hold the vial in your hand for 10-15 minutes or stick it under a boob inside your bra. Warming the oil makes 100% difference.
2. warm your hiney before the shot. Just sit on a heating pad or if you have a microwaveable heating pad put that on for 5 minutes before your shot.
3. give the shot a deep massage afterwards. Just slow rubbing for a good 2 minutes to help the oil dissapate.
4. get that hiney back on a heating pad! Again the microwaveable ones are great because you can put it right on the shot. I'll tell you though, after nearly 3 weeks (with 6 more to go) my entire hiney is delighted with the deep heat!
I am still sore every day. If I drive a long way or sit too long it feels like the needle got broken off in my cheek. It's really no worse than an extremely bad sunburn, but it's knowing you have to do it again tonight that's hard - the mind game!
This is not the fun part, but remember why you're doing it and it's really no biggie.
My Doc. Office also drew a couple of circles on my hips/butt to help my husband know exactly where 2 go because he had went a little low a few times & I had bruised + was really sore but even now being 22wks preg. I still get a sharp pain where he gave me shots and have even wondered if there was maybe a small piece of the needle left behind.
