And as far as the Hyland Tablets, they do contain a lactase base but it is such a tiny amount that it really shouldn't cause a problem. If you ever get a chance to look at a tablet you will see just how tiny they are.

I hope you are able to find information about MSPI. It can be very overwhelming to determine...especially if you're breastfeeding. Good luck!
Decogrl - Good luck with zantac. It wasn't successful for us, but it might provide enough relief for your DD to make her happy again! AND get you some more sleep. :)
Lactose is one of the milk sugars not a milk protein (allergies are always to proteins, in this case casein or whey). You can be INTOLERANT to lactose if you don't have enough of enzyme lactase to break it down (but not officially "allergic" which involves hist reactions to proteins). You really have to make a call on some of these products and how much or little you can tolerate---I was fanatical about not choosing anything that was dairy-derived or soy-derived (and actually, grains, eggs, nuts and peanuts were also on our list but much more anaphylactically, ie fatal way). We cooked mostly fresh food honestly including our own gluten free bread with no dairy, eggs or grains.
Since most formula is milk or soy based you're kind of out of luck if you're on formula. We did have one thing NEOCATE (amino acid formula, still with soy and corn and food coloring) but mostly it was lucky we were nursing. Most of the formulas that pretend to be hypoallergenic are not. See http://infantrefluxdisease.com/hypoallergenic_baby_formula.htm for more on ingredients lists.
