Slow Rising HCG Levels.....Borderline results !!!

by sherry007, Jan 23, 2007 12:00AM
I am 5 weeks,4 days pregnant. I had my 1st Blood test on the 18th jan which showed a 1132 HCG level, the next on the 20th Jan showed a 1934 HCG level and yesterday a 2665 HCG Level and an u/s showing the sac.

I'm really scared and think I may have a blighted ovum. my doc says my levels are not doubling but are borderline.

I went to the doctor 8 days ago as I had a slight pain and they thought it may be an ectopic but as the pregnancy is in the right place now no more worries about that.

Have to go back in 2 weeks for scan and blood test but am soooo worried.

Please advise !!!!

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do but wait it out.  There are women on here who have had a healthy baby after enduring your situation and there are women who have gone on to mc.  The best thing to do is relax and think positive thoughts.  I know that is hard to do, but upsetting yourself is not good for you or the baby.  Try to think about other things...

I had a blighted ovum and mine didn't raise as much as your numbers are.  Mine only went up 20 here 15 there and then I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum.  I have a friend who was pregnant and her numbers didn't double, but rose 50 here 100 there.  They thought she was eptopic.  But she went on to deliver a healthy baby girl.  Don't get discouraged.  Good luck!

I dont know my levels, but pg test was very light and dr couldnt see my baby either at 6w5d.  What has helped me is prayer.  I know that if my baby isnt alive and well in there, he/ or she is in so much paradise, that if we had a clue how it was, we wouldnt want to give them the pain and suffering of life in this earth.  I also have hope that I will have a healthy baby but I know that every baby is a gift from God, and I will be ecstatic to have God give me another gift.God Bless you and I hope this helps.
