Preemie boy

My grandson was premature at 27 weeks.  He is now 6 months but 3 months adjusted age.  He has no health problems except gas.  He has grown from 2 pounds 11 ounces to a whopping 14 pounds.  He is reaching for toys and has good control of hands but his head is big and he is wobbly when I sit him up.  At what age would we expect him to sit alone or even in a exersaucer?  We are thankful for his good health but wonder what to expect for  his developmental milestones.

ive heard that they develop according to when their due date would have been, i think 6 months is the average for sitting up, so if he is at the 3 month mark on the scale right now, maybe 3 more months, but it can vary drastically, my dd sat up at 3 months, my friends son didnt sit up until 9 months, they should be caught up to speed by 2

my son was born at 37 weeks and at 6 months he had a really wobbly head too but that is just because he has a big head (gets it from his daddy) i am sure if there was something wrong with the way he was developing then the doc would say something about it

Thanks! I guess a three month old  is developing normally if  they reach out for toys and try to chew on them...That is what he does in the bouncer. We are thankful that he is healthy because he was in the hospital until his due date.  He laughs aloud and seems to be bright.  He has problems with the head but we are hoping that will become stronger.  He has a bit of flat- head from lying so much when he was in NICU.
