Has anyone heard of such a thing.  When I had my US my doctor informed me that I have a sub chorionic hemmorrhage that may cause me to have some bleeding but should desolve.  Has anyone else experianced this?

I had a subchorionic bleed in my 2nd pregnancy and unfortunately I m/c. We're not sure if that was the cause or not of my m/c. When I was told that I had a subchorionic bleed at around 7 weeks, I started researching and from everything I did read, they do usually resolve themselves and those women go on to have successful pregnancies. I definitely would NOT be concerned right now if I were you. Good luck and lots of sticky baby dust to you.

I had a subchorionic hemorrhage at 14 weeks. Well I bled and spotted from weeks 5-18. The hemorrhage healed itself and I'm now at 26 weeks. Don't worry, yours will probably heal too. You're in my prayers.

Hello,
I was diagnosed with one last week, I am at 6 weeks. I was put on bed rest until tomarrow
when I go back to see the DR. Last Thursday after lifting my daughter I felt a sharp pain and a minute later started bleeding alot of blight red blood. I thought for sure I was going to M/C. They did a U/S and saw the same thing as you described. Said my body should absorb and will be fine. I spotted brown until Wed but they said that as just old leftover blood and not to worry.
PS baby had good heartbeat..

i've had a bleed since 6 wks . Right not I'm about 18 wks . I've been on bedrest since 6 weeks. My dr said most heal within the first trimester I'm one of the unlucky people to still have it. My baby measures right on target and has a normal heart beat. I haven't had any bleeding since 12 wks and I never had red blood only brown old blood. The only reason I know I still have bleed is because it shows up in my ultrasounds.  Please don't worry, just take it easy and try to put yourself on bedrest when ever possible. I'm sure you'll be fine by your next appt. And we will both have a wonderful health baby :)

Thank you all for your words of encouragement.  I am 7 weeks and I have not bleed so I'm hoping that everything will be ok.

i had my U/S yesterday and we found out that i have subchorionic hemorrhage and that the baby has no heartbeat at 9weeks. i am devastated with the news as i feel so healthy and did not bleed (not even a drop). i was very confident that my  baby and i are well because i am very healthy and very active. this is my first pregnancy and i am very down that i cant help but cry since yesterday when i found out. i have so many questions in mind why it has to happen. why did i not bleed or even had spottings so i would have known that there was something wrong with my baby? what are some of the causes of the hemorrhage? and why did i not had spotting?? pls pls help enlighten me.

I am 37 yrs old.  My LMP was Feb. 17.  Althought I tested positive for pregranancy, something did not feel right.  at about 4 weeks I told my nurse, and she pressed the doctor for a blood work.  My hormone levels on day 1 were 2470.  Two days later my hormone levels went up to 3007.  This was not good since those levels are supposed to double every 48-72 hours.  So we took a 3rd test which resulted in levels of 3836.  Although this was an increase, it still did not douible from the first test.  My doctor notified me that this was not a good sign.  Dr. then ordered an ultrasound and we saw the sac w/no fetal pole, a Sub Chorinonic Hemmorage, and 2 luteal cysts.  Apparently the cysts are normal but the hemmorrahage was not.  My doctor indicated that he expected that I would start bleeding and that chances are the baby was not going to make it.  Dr. ordered bed rest.  I was off work and at home waiting for either the baby to heal or not. I went back exactly one week later for another test.  This time they saw a fetal pole with a heartbeat, but it was only at 90 beats per minute.  The crown-rump measured 6 weeks 4 days.  My doctor again was not satisfied with these results.  He again advised me to prepare for the worse.  I had my 2nd ultrasound exactly one week later.  Still no bleeding.  This was good.  The fetal pole measured 7 weeks 3 days, heartbeat was 91 bpm.  This was not good.  Apparently a healthy heartbeat will increase 3 bpm every day.  My little guy only increased one beat per minute in an entire week.  The SCH was still there but not as big.  Not sure if it shrunk or if the monitor just made it look smaller.  Either way the diagnosis was still the same: threatened abortion.  I was scheduled to have another ultrasound exactly one week later, but the day before, I bled for the first time.  I knew then that the baby was losing its battle.  So i went in for my final ultrasound, this time I saw no heartbeat.  they sent me to an outside lab with more powerful machines to confirm the resutls.  they said my baby died at 7 weeks 2 days.  Since these estimates are usually correct within a day or 2 I guess that the baby died some time after the prior ultrasound where its heart was at 91bpm.  I'm okay with what has happened.  Everything happens for a reason.  I have comfort knowing that I did all I could to help the baby survive.  From the beginning, I pushed and asked, and researched and insisted on being treated every step of the way.  My Dr. is exceptional and he did not need me to be pushy but some of the ultrasound technicians weren't so nice.  They aren't supposed to give us any information, I respect that, but that didn't stop me from asking questions and insisting on seeing the screen.  I also insited on a copy of the tech report.  From what I read on the internet and gathered from what my doctor had been telling me I was able to follow along enough so that I did not feel lost and I could take comfort in knowing I did all I could to help my baby.  I hope this helps.  good luck 2 u.
