My 1st daughter had a 2 vessel cord. She is now a healthy 3 1/2 year old. I was induced 10 days early though because there is a risk of malnutrition toward the end of the pregnancy.

I have never personally heard of this condition before but I will keep you and your baby in my prayers. Good Luck to you and keep us posted.

One thing I learned about this is that it can be associated with kidney problems in the baby and also with some genetic problems. But if they are checking close enough to know about your 2 vessel cord they probably have already checked for these things too so I wouldn't worry too much (easier said than done I know).

My sister in law is getting ready to have her baby today (she was induced yesterday) and her baby has a two vessel cord. The DR said he is going to be okay.  I will keep you posted, but from what she tells me is that he is healthy and ready to join the world!

I had a friend who's baby had a 2 vessel cord as well.  She is now a healthy, normal teenager.
