I haven't heard anything about acupuncture.... but I take Fenugreek and Brewer's Yeast and it really REALLY increased my milk supply.
I can't go more than 2 hours without nursing my DD or pumping and it's perfectly safe.....

Me2mommy, how are you?  So, you are not seeing an increase?

Brewer's Yeast...where can I get that??? Is it beer?

No :(:(:(  In fact, I pumped only 3 oz this morning!!! And this is after 8 hours of not pumping.  DD is 6 mos soon so if I'll dry up completely, I'll just let it go (even though it's soo hard!!).

I googled it.  It's a suppliment that comes in a pill form, correct?  Do you get it in a vitamin store?

I am sorry.  You can find Brewer yeast in herb or health store and they do have pills form.  Fenugreek alone seems to work for me.
Have you talk to the doc or pediatrician?
I am considering weaning in a month or so.  He's been eating rice cereal, fruit and some veggies and he seems to be doing good on those.
Have you started to feed solid?

Can I ask what strength tablets do you take and how many?

we have the six month well visit appt tomorrow and I'll talk to him about starting Ariella on solids.  He isn't a big fan of starting solids before 6 months for breastfed babies.  Ariella will be six months on the 24th.

I buy the Solaray bracd.  620mg per tablet, and I take from 6-8 pills during my work week.  I don't take them on weekends since I try to nurse on demand and that's the best way to keep your supply.

Sorry I did not find this sooner, but in case you are still wondering about acupuncture to increase breast milk supply:  Absolutely it works.  I am an acupuncturist, and a few treatments and maybe some herbs usually is all it takes.  I am doing a presentation for LaLeche League soon on this very subject.
