A good friend of mine just had this happen to her in January. They had to reopen the incision and put a pump in to remove the puss, and liquid. They contemplated doing surgery to fix it. It took her about a month to heal.

that happened to me with my first one. They put me back in the hospital for 5 more days and I had IV antibiotics and they opened and cleaned the wound 3 times a day. Then they sent me home with it partially open and sent a home-aid nurse twice a day for 2 weeks to change the dressing and check it. big nightmare. If they only gave you 2 days worth of antibiotics I would go back for sure, especially if it's swollen. It's going to hurt, even the healthy ones do, but it shouldn' t be swollen. You don't have a fever do you? If so go to the ER right away...

I had a c section on feb 18 two days after leaving the hospital I noticed a severe pain and drainage. I went to the er and they opened it and cleaned it out. The sent me home and my husband packs it 2 times a day.I have a green yellowish pus like on my gause after changing the packing. Does anyone know if this is normal?

it doesnt sound normal,i have had 3 c-sections and never had that,i would call to be seen before you get in infection .goodluck,keep us posted.
