first trimester screen results...

by 2ndBaby, Mar 30, 2007 12:00AM
Hi-I just had my first trimester screen today-on the very last day of my first trimester-lol.  The nuchal translucency measurement was 2.2.  They said 3.0 or under was normal.  I have to wait a week to find out results of bloodwork for trisomy 13 and 18, though.  Just wondering if anyone out there had normal NT measurements and later had issue with the bloodwork results.  I'm just a worrier-its what I'm good at!!!

Thanks.

OH!  And, this doctor who did the u/s, not my normal OB, mentioned that currently I have placenta previa.  She anticipates that, since I'm only at 13 weeks, it will resolve itself, but she didn't mention any restrictions like bed rest or anything.  Any of you have experience with this at this early stage?

I am 36 and had a 1.9 reading with my DD.  She is currently 2 weeks old and adorable.  With the blood results which came out fine, I opted against amnio.  She is perfect.  Best of luck to you.  The say anything under a 3 is a good reading so a 2.2 sounds just fine.  Also placenta previa is normal at 13 weeks, the placenta will move up as you get further along.  Please don't worry too much about that.
