39 weeks & can hear babies bones crack when he moves?

by Jamie12269, Apr 01, 2007 12:00AM
Ok this is weird. Its happened about 4 times. Sometimes when he moves suddenly (those jolt movements) i hear a little crack sound, just like a little bone cracking. Its similar to when you crack a knuckle or stretch your wrists or ankles.

Im not sure if its me or him, but when it happens i feel nothing but his movement. If it were my bones wouldnt i feel it?

Its really worrying me. Its only a recent thing. I have a doc appt. on Thursday so ill ask then. But just wanted to kno if anyone else experienced something similar?

Jamie,  the sound when you crack your knuckles or ankles is actually the sound of air escaping from the joint.

I wonder if when he moves around there might be air escaping from your hip joint,  or an air pocket moving around somewhere else near your uterus?

I tried to explain it to my midwife but she had no idea what i was talking about. I would definalty describe it as a cracking sound rather than a 'popping'. Its very strange. Poor little thing is probaby running out of room in there!

i'm 34 weeks and sometimes when the baby moves i feel the little "pop" that you're taking about it. the first time i wondered if my baby broke something, but then it happened a few more times. what the heck is it?
