Strange/Sharp pain

by lfb, Apr 19, 2007 12:00AM
Last week I posted about pain and pressure in my lower pelvic (vulva) area.  It turned out to be a bladder infection and has been gone since the second day of antibiotics.  Last night and today I have been having the sharp shooting pain down in the same place whenever I am walking around.  It is different and more painful than before.  Last week it was just constant achiness and pressure, but not really painful.  This is more of a sharp pain that comes and goes and really does hurt.  Anyone had the same thing?

Hmm...I can't say that I have, but I did have a UTI and was treated with antibiotics only to have it come back again so now I'm on them for the rest of this pregnancy. It might have not been completely taken care of. I would call your doctor and maybe another urine sample will help. Good luck!

My UTI did that to me, too. Then I was diagnosed this week with an ovarian cyst. The pain for this is very localized to my right side and swirls around to my back and down my right let. Good luck!

I had that with my youngest and went to the hospital b/c I was going to be at a wedding rehearsal later that night and knew I would be stuck then.  I went thinking I would be sent home with the diagnosis of either a cyst or "ligament pain".  Wrong!  That pain was my cervix shortening, I was 100% effaced.

Go to ER if you are concerned.

God Bless!
